Today is the day!!! Finally we'll know who's gonna ride for gold!!! The talented Seth Macfarlane will join the beautiful actress Emma Stone to announce the 85th Academy Awards Nominations. After 30 years the Host of the Oscars will partecipate in the nominations announcement...the only host to participate in the nominations announcement has been Charlton Heston in 1972.

The conference will be at the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater, Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, today at 5.30 a.m.

Nominations will be distributed live on the Official Oscar website:  www.oscar.com 

Electronic balloting: the first time in Oscars History

The 6000 members have voted last week, and for the first time they could express their preference online. After some of the members have reported problems (forgotten passwords or user names) with the new online voting system, the time to vote was extended. Ric Robertson, chief operating officer of the academy, said: "By extending the voting deadline we are providing every opportunity available to make the transition to online balloting as smooth as possible".
