Spielberg/Williams: a Long-lasting Collaboration

It will be useless to write the Never Ending list of Awards won by Spielberg in his glorious career. His remarkable work as a Director, Producer and Screenwriter started in early 70's, and just skyrocketing till today, thanks also to his friend and composer John Williams.

From The Sugarland Express in 1974, to Jaws in 1975, in just one year Spielberg started to knock on our door, and never stopped. In 1977 he Directed Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and he made money enough to save Coulmbia from Bankruptcy. Spielberg is still making money from a bet with his friend George Lucas, earning 2.5% from Star Wars, and Lucas earning the same percentage from Close Encounters.  

He was the first bringing together on the big screen Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi in "1941", after their success in the Saturday Night Live.   

In 1982 Spielberg created the most magical moment in cinema, thanks to E.T. and Elliott flight, in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial; that is now the symbol of Amblin Entertainment, an American film and television production company founded by Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall.

From 1981 to 2008 the character of Indiana Jones, with his hat and bullwhip appeared on the screen in four amazing movies, becoming the Hero of the Pop culture in the 80's.

In 1993 Jurassic Park, based on Michael Crichton best seller, become the highest-grossing film produced and directed by Spielberg.

For Shindler's List and Save Private Ryan respectively filmed in 1993 and 1997, Spielberg won the Academy Award for Best Director and for Shindler's List also the Academy award for Best Picture. 

The Spielberg-Williams Collaboration started in 1974 and, with Lincoln filmed in 2012, the 25th movie together with Spielberg as Director,  they have created one of the most creative and influential artistic collaborations in film history.
